Online Job Hunting

There was a time when a person who wanted to find work had to buy newspaper and look through the classified ads section. The advent of the internet has changed that by creating opportunities for people to work either in a different state or in another country.
It has made the world a smaller place rendering it accessible for anyone with a computer to search for a job and apply to it.
There are many sites that offer such services. All the person has to do is open an account, fill up the necessary fields then submit your resume.
These sites usually ask for pertinent information such as the person’s name, age, address, contact number and social security number.
Additional information that will be requested is educational background. Employment history is also another thing that has to be mentioned which includes the job description and highlights that one has experienced during that person’s career. A section in the account will also ask the preferred industry of work, if the person is willing to do field work or open to relocation and the expected salary should one be accepted for the job.
With all the information provided, these sites will then match your qualifications with the jobs available. This service is free and matches can be seen when the person logs on the account or gets a notice via email.
Some sites offer a service with a fee that will place the resume over other applicants giving that person more priority but even that is a not a guarantee that one will get the job.
Online job hunting is not just for professionals. It caters to anyone who wants to work either full time, part time or on a per project basis.
Applying online is not only done through job sites. You can also check the websites of companies that usually have a section on careers to see what openings are available. You simply have to go through the process of giving certain information and uploading your resume.
There are many jobs available in the market. The internet has made it easier for companies to make people aware that there are vacancies available. It has also made it convenient for applicants to apply online instead of walking to an office and dropping of a resume. With everything that is just a mouse click away, all it takes is a little effort on one’s part to sit down in front of a computer and looking for a job.

Job search tips

If you’re not sure what to do, here’s a list that might help.
1. Know thyself.
Identify what really interest and excites you. Understand that these traits define you and use it to explore career choices and opportunities.
2. Take a career assessment test.
There are a lot of career assessment tests available online. Find the time to take one. The test gives you a lot of insights about your core competencies and work preferences.
3. Ask others.
It’s actually quite difficult to see yourself as others do. It would be to your advantage to ask friends and family on your traits and skills. Your co-workers are also a good source of information. Knowing how they perceive you, what they like and don’t like about you and what skills or traits need to be changed can be helpful in determining your professional profile.
4. What moves you?
Would you be more interested in status or a six figure salary? Do you want to make a difference in your community and the world or just on your company’s net worth?
5. Take charge.
In the ‘80s, when you worked for a large company, you usually could conclude that you would be working there for your entire career. In those days, the corporation drove your career path, advancing as it saw fit.
At the turn of the century, times have changed. In the span of your career, you would probably work for at least five companies. In most cases, you will probably work for more than five. Know which career track you desire, and make sure that track brings you to where you wish to go.
6. Determine the company fit.
With the current emphasis on streamlined and productivity-focused companies, the cultural and company fit are just as important as the professional goals. Consider the values and principles of the company and compare them with your own. It is important that you feel comfortable and fit in with company.
7. Free your mind.
The career path you choose is about change and more change. It includes expansion and new opportunities. All of these changes require a desire to journey and discover.
8. Balance is the key.
A huge amount of time is devoted to your career when you are in your 20s and 30s. When you reach your 40s, your personal life might take precedence and maybe more important to you. Find a corporation that will provide you with a balance in your work and your life.
9. Don’t hang around.
If you’re not satisfied with the way your career is going, go do something. Always be in control of your career path to have a satisfying career.

dangers of cigar

The Dangers of Being Exposed to Cigar Smoke
We have all heard about the dangers of inhaling second hand smoke. Many people wonder if the dangers of inhaling cigar smoke are just as dangerous, or more. Unfortunately, it appears that being exposed to secondhand smoke from a lit cigar can be just as dangerous—or more—than regular cigarette smoke.
All secondhand smoke emitted by tobacco products are classified as environmental tobacco smoke. Environmental tobacco smoke refers to all the secondhand smoke released from tobacco products that are lit, such as cigars or cigarettes. Research indicates that the smoke from cigars and cigarettes releases many of the same types of irritants. Both cigar and cigarette environmental tobacco smoke contain nicotine, carbon monoxide, hydrogen cyanide, and ammonia. The environmental tobacco smoke from cigars and cigarettes also releases well-known carcinogens such as vinyl chlorine, benzene, arsenic, hydrocarbons, and nitrosamines. Cigars, because of their size, usually release more environmental tobacco smoke than cigarettes. Being around cigar smoke, then, can pose more of a health threat than inhaling secondhand smoke from a lit cigarette.
Even though both cigars and cigarettes release similarly toxic environmental tobacco smoke, there are some key differences between the two. These differences are related to the very different ways that cigars and cigarettes are manufactured. The production of cigars consists of a long process of fermentation and aging. During the production and fermentation process, large amounts of carcinogens are produced. Once a cigar has been fermented and aged, they are wrapped in a nonporous wrapper that keeps the cigar from burning too quickly. The fermentation process and nonporous wrapper both contribute to the high concentrations of carcinogens in the smoke of al it cigar. When a cigar is lit, the carcinogenic compounds produced during the fermentation process are released. The nonporous wrapper also contributes to an unclean burn that is high in carcinogens.
Another reason why cigars produce greater amounts of carcinogens is in their girth and length. Cigars are simply bigger than cigarettes. Their size allows them to release much more smoke, and in turn, much higher concentrations of toxins and irritants. Also, cigars are designed to be smoked much more slowly than regular cigarettes, and cigar smokers are encouraged to take their time and enjoy the relaxing experience. This results in longer smoke times, and obviously, the creation of much more smoke. It is advised for all non-smokers to avoid areas where cigars are being smoked. If you smoke cigars, make sure to do so in a well-ventilated area.

The Health Risks of Cigar Smoking
We have all heard of the risks associated with smoking cigarettes, but what are the risks of cigar smoking? Are the risks of smoking cigars just as dangerous, or more so? According to the National Cancer Instituted, regular cigar smoking can result in a major health threat. Scientific research has linked cigar smoking with cancers of the larynx, lungs, esophagus, and oral cavity. Newer research also indicates that cigar smoking may be strongly linked to the development of cancer in the pancreas. Doctors also caution that individuals who regularly inhale while enjoying a cigar are also at greater risk of developing lung disease and heart problems.
The health threats of cigar smoking appear to increase dramatically in those individuals who smoke regularly and inhale while smoking. Someone who smokes three to four cigars each day will him or herself at eight times the risk of developing some kind of oral cancer than a nonsmoker. Unfortunately, we do not yet know the health risks of smoking the occasional cigar. It seems clear however that smoking cigars on a daily basis can pose serious health risks.
Many individuals wonder if cigars are as addictive as cigarettes. Many wonder why, for instance, so many people become addicted to cigarettes, and not cigars? The truth is that any tobacco product can become addictive because it contains nicotine. Witness the effects of smokeless tobacco products on individuals. These products, such as chewing tobacco, can become very addictive, simply because they contain tobacco, which in turn contains nicotine. Many cigar smokers do not inhale deeply, thus causing the nicotine to be inhaled superficially. Cigarette smokers tend to inhale, causing the nicotine to be absorbed faster and more readily by the lungs. Even though most cigar smokers inhale the nicotine more superficially, it is still possible to become addicted if the user smokes cigars on a regular basis.
If nicotine is so addictive, why don't more cigar smokers smoke more often? It appears that more people avoid becoming 'hooked' on cigars for several reasons. The most obvious reason is that the nicotine is inhaled much more superficially than in regular cigarette smoking, causing less nicotine to be absorbed by the body. Also, cigars are not as readily accessible as cigarettes. They are viewed by most as a luxury item, saved for special occasions and used infrequently. However, when cigars are smoked on a regular basis, they can become addictive. The health risks of any kind of smoking increase dramatically as frequency of use increases.

Tips for lighting a cigar

4 Tips for Lighting a Cigar
For new smokers, lighting a cigar can seem as daunting as learning to choose a good single. Here are four tips to guide you in lighting a cigar for the first time.
1. Use cedar matches, if possible. If you prefer to use a lighter, make sure it's butane lighter to avoid strong odors.
2. Warm the open end of the cigar (aka 'the foot' of the cigar) slowly over the flame, without touching it to the fire. Let a black ring form around the end.
3. Place the cigar in your mouth and draw in slowly. Hold the cigar over the flame, about half an inch above it, again without touching. Continue to draw in until the cigar draws the flame. Turn the cigar slowly, spinning it to establish an even burn.
4. Once your cigar is lit, take it out of your mouth and observe the burn you have established. If the burn appears to be uneven, simply blow on the unlit sections to draw the burn, and then take one or two draws from the cigar to reestablish an even burn.

Love and politic,Diao Chan

''Diao Chan'' was one of the Four Beauties of ancient China. She was said to have been born in [161]or [169] AD,However, unlike the other three beauties, she does not appear in any known historical writings, and is quite possibly a fictional character.Diao Chan assisted the official [Wang Yun] in a plot to persuade the warrior [Lü Bu] to kill his adopted father, the tyrannical warlord [Dong Zhuo]. She did this by becoming Dong Zhuo's concubine but also Lü Bu's betrothed, then manipulating the two through their jealousy and her charm. Dong Zhuo's tactician, [Li Ru], saw that the dancing girl was driving both the lord and the warrior mad, so he proposed that Dong Zhuo give Diao Chan to Lü Bu instead of fighting over her. Upon hearing this he threatened Li Ru with death and stated that no warrior was worth what Diao Chan was to him. Diao Chan had Lü Bu wrapped around her finger.
She told him that being with Dong Zhuo made her unhappy and wished to only be with him. Lü Bu was outraged and went to Wang Yun to plot Dong Zhuo's death. Lü Bu had to escape shortly after killing Dong Zhuo and he lost a battle to Dong Zhuo's generals. He did, however, meet up with Diao Chan once more. Diao Chan followed Lü Bu during his time as a rogue leader until he took Cao Cao's castle of [Puyang]. Together they were married and traveled the land until Lü Bu was later killed when [Cao Cao]'s forces overran his base at [Xiapi].

Lady Wu,wife of Sun Jian

''Lady Wu'' (? - [202]) was the wife of Sun Jian during the Three Kingdoms era of China. She had six children: five sons, Sun Ce, Sun Quan, Sun Yi, Sun Kuang, Sun Lang and one daughter,Sun Shangxiang.
Lady Wu lost her parents at a young age and was living with her younger brother, Wu Jing, when Sun Jian heard of her beauty and character, and desired to marry her. Lady Wu’s relatives disapproved of Sun Jian, they saw him as an idler and a rascal, and were going to decline his proposal. Sun Jian was embarrassed and angry at their decision. Lady Wu questioned her relatives, asking “Why bring disaster upon yourselves for the love of one girl? If this turns out to be a bad match, it would just be my fate.” And so they gave her to Sun Jian in marriage.

Yellow turban rebellion

By the end of the 2nd century, the once infallible Han dynasty suffered from internal strife and corruption, and had become a shadow of its former self. The land fell into chaos, and the people no longer able to rely on the authority of the Han.Turned to a religious sect known as "The way of peace" for salvation.

seeds of rebellion,Zhang Jiao, the leader of the way of peace, boldly declared that the age of Han has passed and that he would usher in a "new age of the way of peace"Through his rhetoric, anti imperial sentiment began to spread across the land.In 184AD,Zhang Jiao finally made his move to take control of the land.Giving himself the title of "great teacher"he began to organize the many followers he accumulated through his miracles into military force. When news of his plans was leaked to imperial court,Zhang Jiao immediately mobilized his new army with the help of his brothers Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang. The bulk of this force was a peasant militia that numberd in the hundreds of thousands. All soldier under Zhang Jiao wore yellow scarves around their heads as a tribute to their master. Thus, these soldiers came to be known as the :yellow turban"and their movement would go down in history as "The yellow turban rebellion".Their unity made them seem unstoppable as they tore through the imperial forces in regions accros the land.
To seize back the momentum, the imperial court assigned the generals Huangfu Song,Lu Su,and Zhu Jun to form asubjugation force and go on the offensive againts Zhang Jiao.Meanwhile,You province prefect Liu Yan began to recruit volunteer to aid the effort of the imperial forces. One of the many who answered Liu Yan's call was Liu Bei,who with his sworn brothers,Guan Yu and Zhang Fei,had vowed to bring order back to the land and restore the Han dynasty to its former glory.Meanwhile,Cao Cao the aptly named "hero of chaos" had already begun to make a name for himself by defeating Zhang Bao and Zhang Liang.Liu Bei,though joining the battle later, also makes an impression by breaking through yellow turban lines to rescue imperial general Dong Zhuo. The momentum had begun to sway towards the imperial forces. The loss of momentum for the yellow turban would become permanent after the loss of their leader,Zhang Jiao to illness.the rebellion was quelled within a year after that, and remnant forces were subjuganted effectively through the efforts of imperial officers such as Sun Jian. The end of this rebellion was only to be the beginning of an age of war and chaos.
